Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
Given that we already know people have been put on the waiting list despite already having an ST or never expressing an interest in wanting one I think it is a lie there is 55k on it.

Especially as it's jumped 5k despite us having a very poor stadium with low crowd turnouts and unsold tickets on the exchange.

Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
I don't necessarily think this 55,000 waiting is necessarily a lie.

With the big hype around moving to the Olympic stadium last year, it isn't inconceivable that last July 55,000 people registered their interest on a website which was their way of saying 'I want to keep my options open - let me know when a seat becomes available and I'll decide if I want to buy one"

You'd imagine that a majority of those people were never really likely to buy a ticket, and only registered interest to be kept informed.

The 'lie' is that Brady is parading the 55,000 waiting list as people that are chomping at the big, desperate to get their hands on the first available ticket, when this isn't even close to the truth.

Realistically there will probably be enough genuine people on the waiting list to mop up any unsold tickets, but that's about it.

If they asked those 55,000 people to pay £100 each to remain on the waiting list, and that £100 would be deducted from the future cost of a season ticket, that number would probably end up at less than 10,000 people.

"at which point their seat will be offered to another supporter on the 55,000 strong waiting list."

i cannot wait for this lie to be shown up.

Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
This isn't a huge surprise really, as those not using the finance thing won't renew until the last week. No huge incentive to do it earlier.

I wish they'd shut the fuck up about the pretend waiting list though. Silly cunts.

Well, that's true.

The author of the article could be telling porkies.

Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
Calm down, mate.

It's extremely likely that you're right about the 40k figure, but you have no reason whatsoever to draw the conclusion that Brady is lying. For a start, she isn't named, and more importantly the club are saying that unrenewed STs have been 'allocated to' people on the waiting list,. NOT 'offered', let alone 'accepted by'.

I think we can all agree that most of the 55,000 waiting list will disappear into thin air when offered a real live ticket - but nobody is telling porkies at this point.

"We have been told that the 31,000 seats which have not renewed already have been allocated to a name in the waiting list which will be offered out after the June relocation period has ended"

More lies from that cunt Brady swallowed whole by the pricks on C&H.
But, if true, what a way to treat supporters by threatening them.

I'll be surprised if they manage to shift more than 40k ST's before next season kicks off.

Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
Let's be honest, the club haven't got a fucking clue how they are going to satisfy the people that want to change seats. Thousands of existing ST holders won't be given seats they've requested in new locations, and thousands of new season ticket holders will be randomly given them instead.

It's literally a complete fucking raffle. It wouldn't even surprise me if I turned up next August and they'd double booked my seat.

Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
Surely as said after the deadline passes the next step is to allow everyone who wants to move first go at the empty seats?
If not then no one will be able to move as the horde of 55,000 will just fill in the gaps.
Of course if there WAS a genuine 55,000 straining at the leash you wouldn't need these sort of threats.

Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
All the finance deals had to be renewed already so they better hope 31k fans have cash on the hip or a good credit card.

The 'names allocated to seats' bit is obviously bollocks. Most leave it late to renew though, so that's not unexpected.

Just watch as EXWHUemployees, C&H and go all now desperately try to convince us that this summer we really will go for it.

Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
General consensus amongst my mates who are renewing, was that they'd rather have the interest on the money themselves and so will renew on the final day.

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have that sort of money on demand either.

Always found it bollocks asking people for the wedge while the season is still going and costing them money anyway.

surely thise that dont renew shouod be offered to thosevthat want to move rather than new ones on waiting list

Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
Looks like they better increase the size of the ticket office and the staff numbers inside to cope with the increase in people going up on the day to get a ticket.

Unfortunately with the shower of shit on display this season there is going to never be the level of commitment the owners want.

Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
So you're going to spend hundreds doing soemthing you're not that arsed about to enable you spend further hundreds on something you are arsed about.

Not sure I follow that logic.

Well, Johnson. There's food and beer debauchery and there's matchday food and beer debauchery!!

Plus I live in Cambridge so wouldn't make the effort to do the London pub circuit otherwise. Being a (no beard) real ale lover it makes for a good day out.

Fantastic news!

ICONIC renewal rates!

Johnson 6:57 Wed Apr 26
Re: "Sixty percent of season tickets to renew"
Why don't you do that without the football, Cambs? Not sure why or how not having a season ticket prevents that.
